Художня інтерпретація образу князя Єремії Вишневецького в однойменному романі Івана Нечуя-Левицького

Abstract

У статті досліджено особливості художньої інтерпретації образу князя Єремії Вишневецького в однойменному романі Івана Нечуя-Левицького. Простежено історію «двох правд» – історичної та художньої; зосереджено увагу на художньому домислі та вимислі. Доведено, що авторське осмислення постаті князя є глибоким морально-філософським дослідженням природи влади, зради й національної ідентичностіThe article examines the features of the artistic interpretation of the image of Prince Jeremiah Vyshnevetsky in the novel of the same name by Ivan Nechuy-Levytsky. The history of the «two truths» – historical and artistic – is traced; attention is focused on artistic speculation and fiction. It is proven that the author’s understanding of the figure of the prince is a deep moral and philosophical study of the nature of power, betrayal and national identity
