Вінницька Єрусалимка: до питання історії кварталу

Abstract

У статті висвітлено історію єврейського кварталу Єрусалимка у Вінниці у XVI–XVIII ст., зокрема появу євреїв у Вінниці та їх первинну локалізацію на Старому місті, причини постання Єрусалимки на правому березі р. Південний Буг, топосів ринкової площі, Головної синагоги і торгової вулиці як невід’ємних елементів кварталу. Матеріал створено у рамках проєкту «Слідами хасидського хлопчика: аудіопрогулянка вінницькою Єрусалимкою», реалізованого департаментом маркетингу міста та туризму ВМР за підтримки УКФThe article highlights the history of the Jewish quarter of Jerusalimka in Vinnytsia in the 16th-18th centuries, in particular the appearance of Jews in Vinnytsia and their initial localization in the Old Town, the reasons for the emergence of Yerushalayimka on the right bank of the Southern Bug River, the topography of the market square, the Main Synagogue and the shopping street as integral elements of the quarter.
