Особливості адаптації турецьких студентів до соціокультурного та освітнього середовища під час навчання в Україні

Abstract

У статті наводиться аналіз особливостей адаптації іноземних студентів із Туреччини в соціумі та в освітньому процесі в умовах інтернаціоналізації освіти в сумському виші. Висвітлено зміст та сутність поняття «адаптація», виокремлено основні напрями адаптації і з’ясовано основні проблеми, з якими стикаються студенти-іноземці. У науковій розвідці представлено результати дослідження, проведеного з метою розроблення рекомендацій щодо усунення недоліків у процесі адаптації та соціальної інтеграції іноземних студентів, а також упровадження ініціатив соціально-виховної та навчальної діяльності в контексті регіональної стратегії інтеркультурного розвитку міста, які сприятимуть успішній адаптації в іншомовному соціокультурному середовищі.

The article is devoted to analyze the peculiarities of adaptation of foreign students from Turkey in the Ukrainian society and in the educational environment in Sumy State University. According to the text the foreign students’ adaptation is a vital challenge for higher education in Ukraine, because positive integration of this category of students has a great effect on the educational process. Nevertheless, integration of students into educational process in higher medical institutions still remains poorly researched. The content and essence of the concept of adaptation are highlighted, the main directions of adaptation are highlighted and the main problems faced by foreign students are clarified. The article specifies the essence of the concepts «adaptation», «social adaptation», «sociocultural adaptation», «socio-communicative adaptation», «socio-domestic adaptation». In the work the results of research of the main problems faced by foreign students of medical profile are set out. As part of the study, we conducted a survey in two areas: the first survey – in order to identify favorable and unfavorable conditions (difficulties) for socio-cultural, socio-communicative and socio-domestic adaptation. The second questionnaire aims to identify favorable conditions for successful adaptation according to Turkish youth opinion. There were 130 participants (Turkish students) aged from18 to 25 years in this anonymous survey. The scientific research presents the results of a study conducted to develop recommendations for eliminating shortcomings in the process of adaptation and social integration of foreign students, as well as the implementation of initiatives of social and educational activities in the context of regional strategy of intercultural development of the city. This survey results can be used to continue research on students’ adaptation and social integration into the education process in higher medical institutions.
