Формування англомовної професійно орієнтованої компетентності в читанні у процесі автономного навчання

Abstract

У статті розглянуто питання формування англомовної професійно орієнтованої компетентності в читанні у процесі автономного навчання студентів вищих педагогічних закладів України. Під автономним формуванням англомовної професійно орієнтованої компетентності в читанні розглядається вид автономної навчальної діяльності, у процесі якого в студента розвивається готовність брати на себе відповідальність за ефективність виконання діяльності, формується здатність самостійно застосовувати знання, навички і уміння не тільки для розуміння конкретного тексту, але й для накопичення мовленнєвого досліду, необхідного для здійснення мовної самоосвіти й самовдосконалення протягом життя.

The article deals with the formation of English profession-based competence in reading in the process of autonomous learning of students of higher pedagogical institutions in Ukraine. Reading as a receptive type of communicative activities and a form of written speech communication consists of subject-matter and procedural components. The formation of English profession-based competence in reading in the process of autonomous learning of prospective teachers is based on the following fundamentals: modelling of authentic reading situations; use of students’ experience in communication in their native language; managing the reading process through the context; systematic approach to mastering of means, methods, and strategies. The formation of English profession-based competence in reading in the process of autonomous learning involves: purposeful and informed planning of reading activities; the ability to structure and monitor the process of reading; flexibility and variability in the application of life experience, foreign language learning experience, as well as English reading experience (in various ways and techniques). The autonomous formation of English profession-based competence in reading of prospective teachers is considered as a type of autonomous learning activities, where the student develops a willingness to take responsibility for the effectiveness of the learning activities, forms the ability to apply knowledge, skills and abilities independently, in order not only to understand a specific text, but to accumulate the experience of communication in the process of language self-education and self-improvement as well.
