Застосування студентоцентрованого навчання при підготовці вчителів на факультеті іноземних мов

Abstract

У статті продемонстровано динаміку застосування студентоцентрованого підходу при підготовці вчителів іноземних мов на факультеті іноземних мов Вінницького державного педагогічного університету імені Михайла Коцюбинського. Розглянуто об’єктивні чинники, які сприяли переходу до студентоцентризму. Здійснено кількісний та якісний аналізи відповідей викладачів факультету іноземних мов на запитання анкети стосовно забезпечення студентоцентрованого підходу при викладанні навчальних дисциплін за освітньою програмою «Середня освіта. Англійська, німецька мови і літератури».

The article demonstrates the dynamics of applying a student-centered approach to the training of foreign language teachers at the Faculty of Foreign Languages, starting in 2015, when Vinnytsia Mykhailo Kotsiubynskyi State Pedagogical University joined the joint project of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and the British Council in Ukraine called "New Generation School Teacher.” The objective factors contributing to the transition to student-centeredness (the participation of teachers of the Foreign Languages Department in the project and new strategies for developing higher education in Ukraine) are considered. Quantitative and qualitative analysis of the answers of the teachers of the Foreign Languages Department to the questions of the questionnaire regarding the use of a student-centered approach in the teaching of academic disciplines under the educational program "Secondary education. English, German languages and literature" was performed. We have concluded that the systematic use of interactive methods and approaches, the formation of students' ability to carry out self-evaluation and peer evaluation, and the development of responsibility for academic success turn the students into active participants in the educational process.
