Ставлення селянства Поділля до постаті Тараса Шевченка на початку ХХ ст.

Abstract

Стаття присвячена ставленню селянства Поділля до постаті Тараса Шевченка. Вшанування його постаті у різних куточках Подільського краю. Наводиться інформація про заходи, які докладала центральна та місцева влада, щодо недопущення вшанування українського Кобзаря. Подаються дані про нівелювання владою спроб відзначити роковини Кобзаря. Зазначається, що у всіх куточках Подільського краю, незважаючи на царські заборони, громадськість проводила заходи та започаткувала традиції щодо популяризації імені та творчості Т. Г. Шевченка.The article is devoted to the attitude of the Podillia peasantry towards the figure of Taras Shevchenko. Honoring his figure in different parts of the Podillia region. Information is provided on the measures taken by the central and local authorities to prevent the honoring of the Ukrainian Kobzar. Data is provided on the leveling of attempts by the authorities to celebrate the anniversary of the Kobzar. It is noted that in all corners of the Podillia region, despite the tsarist prohibitions, the public held events and initiated traditions to popularize the name and work of T.H. Shevchenko.
