Et qui audit: звукова палітра малої прози Аркадія Любченка

Abstract

Стаття висвітлює властивості звукової палітри малої прози Аркадія Любченка. Симфонічність, поліфонія, протиставлення тиші та шуму є характерними особливостями його оповідань та новел, що композиційно та структурно нагадують музичні симфонії. Проаналізовано звуковий лад новел «Via dolorosa», «Чужі», «Зяма», «Кров», в яких звук отримує своє вираження у музиці, гомоні міста, людських голосах. Також шум стає маркером доби, в якій опиняються герої, вони його слухають, самі стають частиною цього шуму. Тиша і галас постійно присутні в житті персонажів. При чому тиша — це або минуле, або смерть, галас — життя. Шум завжди перемагає тишу, але герой не завжди почувається комфортно у цій перемозі або й сам гине. Перепади звуків, втручання їх у тишу стають визначальним у зміні настрою та подій твору

This article explores the characteristics of the sound palette in Arkadii Liubchenko’s short prose. Symphonic structure, polyphony, and the contrast between silence and noise are distinctive features of his short stories, which are compositionally and structurally akin to musical symphoniesȩ the analysis focuses on the soundscapes of the short stories “Via Dolorosa,” “Strangers,” “Winter,” and “Blood,” where sound is expressed through music, the hum of the city, and human voicesȩ Noise also becomes a marker of the era in which the characters and themselves: they listen to it and become part of itȩ Silence and noise are constantly present in the characters’ lives, with silence representing the past or death, and noise symbolizing lifeȩ Noise always overpowers silence, but the protagonist does not always feel comfortable in this victory and may even die as a resultȩ. The fluctuations in sound and their intrusion into silence play a key role in shifting the mood and events of the narrative.
